Our Pastor

Jonathan Ferrier joined the Elim staff in September, 2006.  He grew up in the city, spending the last few years of his life in Hamilton, Ontario, at university, working in youth ministry and then as an associate pastor.  He has a Bachelors of Kinesiology from McMaster University, and a Masters of Divinity from McMaster Divinity College. 

Jonathan has been blessed with a diverse experience in ministry, from summer Camp Ministry for Native children to Inner City work in Los Angeles, to Youth Ministry in the local church.  Jonathan’s passion is to introduce people to his Saviour, Jesus Christ; to see intimate and transparent relationships developed where people can be real with their hurts and struggles and, to see people grow to be all that God has planned for them to be. 

Jonathan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Janine, playing with his five children, Kaleb, Lydia, Malachi, Rachael and Rebecca and talking with just about anyone.  He also enjoys playing guitar and playing and watching sports, especially football.
